Step into Courage with Inversions
In our lives off the mat, we rarely if ever go upside down. Thus it is quite natural that for many of us the idea of inversions causes some trepidation. However, inverted yoga poses have many positive effects on the body (and the mind). Different inversions have specific benefits, but in general, they stimulate the endocrine, immune, and digestive systems. [...]

Every now and again one finds a sparkling diamond on the yoga scene - Gernot Huber is one of them! If you can find any way to take a class,... read more workshop, or online offering with this teacher, do yourself a big favor and jump at the chance. If you're looking to dive into the joy of breath, how to use your yoga practice to UNDO tension (not add to it with stressing over fancy poses), discover brilliant new ways of thinking about alignment, and finding ways to get rid of patterns that don't serve you? Then Gernot is a teacher you ought to be seriously looking into.

Join today for excellent tuition and guidance in your yoga practise. I have practised with Gernot in Chiang Mai and also on retreat and he always gives you thoughts... read more and insights to think about in your practise. The practice itself is a progress through our physiology and his knowledge of anatomy is huge. Exceptional - you will be delighted.
April 7, 2020I signed up for private sessions with Gernot because I have some hip and low back issues that my personal yoga practice often aggravate. It's not a stretch to say... read more I learned more from three thorough sessions with him than I did in my yoga teacher training. And by "more", I mean all those subtle little biomechanical adjustments that make a massive difference.
Gernot has an incredible knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and it's so well integrated into his yoga knowledge. Step by step, we went through all of my "troubling" asanas and transitions that produce pain and tension, and even those sneaky ones that feel fine but aren't doing my body any favours. There are certain things (bad movement habits) I simply couldn't have known without his insight and expertise. And I can apply them to my practice with instant results.
My practice (and body) are forever improved thanks to his knowledge and guidance. I highly recommend Gernot's classes (I go to those too) as well as his one-on-one teaching. Amazing experience - thankColleen T

April 4, 2020Christina EI was so excited to attend Gernot's workshop - Learning the Art of Undoing: Unlock True Wellbeing by Letting Go of Neck Tension at Naturally Yoga in Glen Rock,... read more NJ! I wanted to learn ways to help relieve tension not only for myself, but for my students. There are 2 herniated discs in my neck and I am always looking for ways to ease neck tension. This was a fantastic workshop!
Gernot explained things clearly and shared new ways to move into poses to keep the neck healthy. It was a great combination of anatomy explanation, visual cues, verbal cues, and being on the mat to experience the material. It was a fun and relaxed atmosphere. There were a number of "Ah ha!" moments and I left feeling happy and eager to start practicing and teaching what Gernot had shared. I have had a number of students who have been so grateful with the new information!
Truly grateful!!

Gernot is very knowledgeable on yoga and anatomy. I took a private class with him, followed his classes in different yoga studios in CM, and now doing his online classes.... read more He helped me start again my practice in a safe way after a herniated lumbar disc injury. His classes are joyful, and will leave you relaxed feeling great and with new insight to think about and apply both on the mat and in your life in general.
April 5, 2020Amazing experience in the anatomy teaching and yoga class with Gernot. I really enjoyed with his humor trying to do more dynamic his classes at the same time learning... read more about how my body is and how I can share these knowledge in my class as teacher.
I learnt yoga is more than the asana. Yoga is how you are sitting, how you are walking, how much tension do you have in your muscles. Yoga is accept your body how it is and find your way to enjoy in the practice.
Gernot gave me a sentence which I bring with me in the life: "The answers are not important, the importance are in the great quLourdesmope
