I've looked forward to taking classes from Gernot over the past two years whenever I'm in Chiang Mai. His knowledge of anatomy and biological reasons behind certain yoga positions... read more and practices is very appealing to anyone who has a science background. April 4, 2020I signed up for private sessions with Gernot because I have some hip and low back issues that my personal yoga practice often aggravate. It's not a stretch to say... read more I learned more from three thorough sessions with him than I did in my yoga teacher training. And by "more", I mean all those subtle little biomechanical adjustments that make a massive difference.
Gernot has an incredible knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and it's so well integrated into his yoga knowledge. Step by step, we went through all of my "troubling" asanas and transitions that produce pain and tension, and even those sneaky ones that feel fine but aren't doing my body any favours. There are certain things (bad movement habits) I simply couldn't have known without his insight and expertise. And I can apply them to my practice with instant results.
My practice (and body) are forever improved thanks to his knowledge and guidance. I highly recommend Gernot's classes (I go to those too) as well as his one-on-one teaching. Amazing experience - thanks Gernot!
